Does it seriously matter the age of people?  I mean a 15 year difference isn't that big of a deal.  He was 22, she was 37.    It's not like she's a pedophile.   They started out as great friends.   And then something just happened.  It changed.  She didn't see him as a nice young friend to talk to about her problems...   He was smart, capable, funny, sweet, quiet and kind.   Everything that she was looking for in a man.    Even when they spent time together in the public eye, it didn't bother them.   Even in the bars, kissing, and hanging out.   It never occurred to her what people might be thinking.  And she didn't care!!!

Oh how she hates memories of the past, in knowing that it was a mistake.  That they could NEVER be together.
